Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts of Students through Mind Mapping Method

The ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is the absorb and ideas. Good concept understanding skills can help students in solving or providing solutions a problem. This study aims determine with mind mapping learning method who are not taught method. research used quantitative quasi-experimental model designed form of non-equivalent control group design. population this was all grade VIII SMP Negeri Liman sample taken 2 classes simple random sampling technique. data collection technique instrument test description question consisting pre-test post-test questions. analysis an independent t-sample prerequisite tests, namely normality homogeneity then continued gain score. Based on results analysis, it concluded that learn using better than without showed there increase received high category average score 0,74. Meanwhile, class 0,29 which low so improvement experimental class.
